L2R is extremely excited to announce our first emerging artist, Jacque Nukulu (Bboy Jacque). Jacque is one of our original participants from 2009 when L2R was first founded. It has been a fantastic journey with Jacque watching him develop into a young and inspiring man and of course talented dancer. Jacque is also a member of the Young Masters Crew who have emerged from Breaking @ Braybrook.
Jacque will be mentored on a weekly basis with L2R’s teaching artists Dennis Pennalligen (Bboy Nasa) who runs the Breaking @ Braybrook workshops.
‘I’m a believer that hip-hop culture thrives as any other culture does, which is through the passing of knowledge to the next gen and allowing them to become leaders. I’ve always known the Young Masters would be the mentors for the next kids and I’m super excited for Jacque to carry on our culture in the West!’ (Dennis Pennalligen, AKA Bboy Nasa)
Our founder & CEO Jacinda Richards will also work closely with jacque over the next few months assisting him with training, development and career pathways into the arts.
